BITE Agave Lip Mask

Bite Agave Lip Mask has been my salvation. With cold and dry winter weather comes chapped lips. They don’t look good and they sure don’t feel good. Traditionally I would smear an unsightly layer of Vaseline all over my lip area then hit the hay. Vaseline worked better than nothing but wasn’t amazing and I found it too greasy and runny for day wear. So last year when I received a sample from Sephora of the Agave Lip Mask I never looked back. I had never been so in love with a lip product. I would have to have it!

Lip Balm With A Little Somethin’ Somethin’

I strolled into my local Sephora and bought the Natural aka untinted one. Untinted is great alone or under any other lip product. Eventually I ended up purchasing it in the shade Champagne which is also super versatile with a hint of, well, champagne colour. My lips look and feel so much better when I wear the Bite Agave Lip Mask and I love knowing that my they are getting some extra tlc because the formula is packed with antioxidants like resveratrol, grape oil, and vitamin e. It’s also super emollient with lanolin, waxes like jojoba, and plant oils so it’s no mystery why this stuff works so well. The claims the brand makes about resveratrol providing the antioxidant equivalent of fifteen glasses of red wine sounds amazing but I suspect it’s more of a marketing thing. The amount of vitamin e and plant oils are quite enough to protect lips.

Bite Agave Lip Mask Is Pricey But There’s No Going Back

The Bite Agave Lip Mask is super thick but I don’t find it sticky at all. I’ve worn sticky lip stuff and it’s not fun. My lips became magnets for fluff, hair, and crumbs. Ew. Anyway, the Lip Mask isn’t glossy or super shiny probably because of the lanolin and waxes but gives lips a supple, healthy look. I wear mine during the day and/or at night and alone or under a lipstick, whatever strikes my fancy at the time. The price is a tad steep for a lip product at $30 Canadian but because it’s more of a treatment and not purely cosmetic I give in. Let’s be real, I’ve spent more than that on less spectacular things. Plus, one tube easily gets me through an entire winter so for something that works I’m willing to take the plunge.

    1. Maybe it has lanolin in it too! Those balms are usually pretty rich…not that I’ve tried a ton of nipple balms haha.
