CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

As A Beauty Blogger I Try A Lot Of Products But CeraVe PM Moisturizing Lotion Is One Product I’ve Kept Around

As a beauty blogger I’m always trying out new products. Lotions and potions come and go but there are a select few products that find permanent residency on my shelf. These products are usually the ones that, well, work. CeraVe PM Moisturizing Lotion is one such product.

I can’t remember why I decided to try this lotion in the first place; knowing me it was probably a rave review I read by Paula Begoun. One thing I love about CeraVe PM is that it’s fragrance-free. A product that contains all the right ingredients but then adds fragrance is a deal-breaker for me. Fragrance increases the chance of irritation, especially in products meant to be used often. I prefer not to gamble. If I want scent I’ll spritz on some perfume.

This Lotion Is Versatile and Gentle

CeraVe PM is marketed for night-time use but I often use it during the day. It wears well under my makeup and works easily enough with other skincare products like serums and sunscreens. Depending on how my skin feels I may wear it alone or layer an oil or heavier cream over it.  It’s perfect for sensitive or rosacea prone skin because it’s scent free and contains so many  skin-repairing ingredients.

CeraVe PM Moisturizing Lotion Contains So Many Skin-Loving Ingredients

CeraVe PM contains hyaluronic acid and  humectants like glycerin to keep water content levels on the skin adequate. It also contains a fairly generous amount of niacinamide (a.k.a. vitamin B3) which has a number of benefits for the skin from promoting a clear complexion to soothing redness caused by dryness and generally helps skin to “act” healthier.

The texture is like a light gel/lotion, leaning more to the lotion side. Don’t let the light texture of this fool you; this is very moisturizing and may be a tad too much for those of you with super oily skin. Still, it’s worth trying even if you use it as a spot treatment on more dehydrated areas.

  1. I used to use this and loved it but for some reason stopped. Today I was going to buy it again but I thought I’d finish up some other moisturizers that I have in rotation. Can’t wait to start using it again (currently using the AM lotion with sunscreen).
Cerave has some great products for such affordable prices.
