Lavender essential oil has made quite a mark in the health and beauty industry. It can be used for so many things and in so many ways not to mention it smells absolutely amazing! In the world of aromatherapy its known for its ability to soothe jangled nerves, de-stress, and even help you fall asleep. It’s also said to promote a healthy scalp and stimulate hair growth when added to a carrier oil.

The list of lavender oils uses is endless but I’ve included a few of my personal faves;

ยทWhen I’m feeling particularly tense I’ll put a few drops on my pillow to help me wind down and make it easier for me to fall asleep. Putting it on the underside of your pillow is best because EO oils are potent.

ยทTo keep clothes moths away I add a few drops on a cotton ball or pad and place a few in my closet and dresser drawers. A bonus is that it adds a subtle lavender scent to your clothes and room.

ยทI add a few drops of lavender and rosemary essential oils to a base of grapeseed, avocado, and coconut oils and massage it into my scalp weekly to keep new hair healthy and promote new hair growth. Massaging your scalp with an oil blend is at the very least relaxing.

ยทSometimes when I’m feeling a bit tense I’ll just take a whiff straight from the little bottle. The relaxing benefits of lavender combined with a few deep breaths can go a long way when it comes to keeping your cool.

The best thing about essential oils, aside from being completely natural, is how versatile they are for both household and beauty uses. Have you tried essential oils?
