What is it with me and blush? I just can’t get enough! Matte, sparkly, powder, liquid, you name I can’t resist that pretty, healthy glow it gives. So when I came across the Milani Powder Blush in Tea Rose I couldn’t resist. Milani describes Tea Rose as;
A radiant blush that deserves to be seen, Rose Powder Blush is gorgeous in the compact and even prettier on cheeks. The soft, natural-finish powder shapes, contours and highlights with flattering matte and shimmery shades made to complement every skin tone. This is one petal-perfect beauty that you’ll reach for again and again.
Tea Rose is definitly matte; no dew or sparkle here. I suppose it could be used to contour if you have a warmer skin tone but is probably best used as a blush. Because it is a neutral pink it suits a number of skin tones. The texture is a dry powder that is very blendable and buildable.
The look of the blush is so pretty I almost didn’t want to use it. It comes in a gold and clear compact and the blush itself is shaped like rose petals. For about 9 dollars Canadian you get a decent 17 grams of product. Those with highly reactive skin may react to the wax or one or all of the oils listed in the ingredients. The ingredients listed on the Milani site do not match those on the one I own (different in Canada, maybe.)
I like this shade because it’s not too red or pink and just a dash of mauve making it a great everyday blush. I sometimes wear it alone or on the apples of my cheeks with a bit of a contour blush underneath if I want a bit more intensity.
